From a dream to a clinic.
Grace Care Medical Center began with a dream. Ugandan nurse, mother, and superhero Eron wanted to bring quality healthcare to her own community in Bweya, where too many women and families struggled to get the care they needed.
Eron shared her idea and plans with Emily, and they got to work. Eron found a space, developed a budget and business plan, and the buildout began almost immediately.
Just two months later, in June 2022, Grace Care Medical Center opened its doors, celebrated by the community it was created to serve.
Today, EmpowerHer works alongside Grace Care to help the clinic grow, strengthen its services, and care for more women, children, and families, including those who cannot afford to pay.
